SERPA started as a humble whatsapp group of like minded people in the field of special education and rehabilitation in Feb 2016. The idea was to connect with each other. There was an overwhelming response and it was heartening to see many people showing the enthusiasm to connect. It became a forum to discuss issues and doubts and best practices and challenges and success stories. It felt like we finally found a space for the community of people working with children with disabilities. We can say with pride that SERPA is one of a kind association of people which cuts through different organisations and comes together as a single united body of professionals who are passionate about the work we do. As a group we decided to register ourselves as an association in February of 2018. We felt empowered when highly experienced experts became a part of the Advisory board in April 2018. Education doc 1
